The New York Giants’ Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots is one of the best sports games I’ve ever seen. What makes their win oh so sweet is that they decisively beat the “invincible” Patriots (has anyone seen Tom Brady sacked that many times in a game?). The Giants simply outplayed them.
Apparently, someone was so sure that the Pats had the championship in the bag that there was a book already out to commemorate it on Amazon, called 19-0: The Historic Championship Season of New England’s Unbeatable Patriots. Um, jumping the gun much? Any fan of the Giants, or underdogs in general, gotta love the list of related forums on the book’s Amazon page:
“hubris”
“failure”
“cheating” (Spygate!)
“wishful thinking”
“fiction”
Love it!
