"But nothing makes me cringe more but watching someone with tears in their eyes, rocking from one foot to another, mouthing the words hypnotically to the songs."

Ugh, I know. Especially footage of girls at old Michael Jackson concerts... *shrudder*

I love your thoughts on mix tapes - and I couldn't agree more about them. We all put such thought into them because of the work that was entailed, versus being in this iPod world, all you have to do is drag and drop songs in order onto iTunes. It's easy to start from scratch on an iTunes mix, but not so for the beloved cassette.

I remember working out the math on my just-as-clunky sounding 3-CD changer to make sure that there were no cut-offs on my tapes. Sadly, most of those tapes I cannot find...

"-Did yoga for the first time in about a year, and felt so inspired that I used up precious Netflix (I only get 2 at a time) to rent another yoga DVD

-Made a delicious spinach and mushroom curry for dinner (actually cooking took place in my bite-sized kitchen)"

Get my sticky mat ready, and set out another plate. You make the lack of a laptop so inviting.

Leave it to K to come up with original ideas, like this one. But can't one such as yourself justify the constant stream of content as, um..."research"? (being a freelance writer who tends to write on entertainment, and such). Anyway, kudos to your new endevour!
